About Unlockt

Unlockt is built for students who know they should be studying but can't stop reaching for their phone. We've all been there — you sit down to study, and 30 minutes later you're deep in a TikTok spiral.

What We Do

Unlockt is not another focus timer or Pomodoro app. We take a fundamentally different approach: your distracting apps are physically locked on your device until you prove you've studied.

Here's how it works: you upload your study material (lecture notes, textbook PDFs, any document), and our AI reads through it and generates a personalized quiz. Then you choose which apps to block — TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, games, whatever distracts you. Those apps become inaccessible on your phone.

To get them back, you take the quiz. Score 80% or higher, and your apps unlock instantly. Didn't pass? Go back, review the material, and try again. It's a simple but powerful mechanic: you literally cannot waste time on your phone until you've demonstrated that you know the material.

Why We Built This

We built Unlockt because willpower alone doesn't work. Every productivity app tells you to "just focus" — but the apps on your phone are engineered by thousands of engineers to be as addictive as possible. It's not a fair fight.

Unlockt levels the playing field. Instead of relying on willpower, you create a physical barrier between you and distraction. And that barrier is your own education — the very thing you should be doing anyway.

Privacy First

Your study materials are processed securely and never shared with third parties. App usage restrictions are managed entirely on your device through Apple's Screen Time framework. We don't track which apps you use or how often — we only care that you studied.
